Membership Waivers:

General Usage and Benefits Waiver

I waive all rights and release all claims that might be had against Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma, its officials, employees, volunteers, and agents for any and all injuries or losses which may be suffered because of my, or my child’s participation in an event, class, tour, camp, or workshop offered by the Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma. I agree to waive any right of recovery that may be brought in claim or lawsuit for damages against Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma for any personal injury, death, or other harmful consequences occurring out of the voluntary participation in this activity and/or programming.

I understand that the Fort Nisqually Living History Museum Membership provides me certain benefits, including complimentary admission on general admission days, complimentary admission for all Living History Events, advanced registration for Signature Events, camps, and Heritage Skills Workshops, a 10% discount on most museum store items, discounts for Heritage Skills Workshops and camps, an amount of one-time guest passes based on the type of membership purchased, and benefits conferred to members of Fort Nisqually Living History Museum through the Time Travellers Program at other participating Time Travellers Program museums.

I understand that these benefits are only applicable to active accounts during the time of class, event, or activity. Terminated or expired accounts prior to the class, activity, or event will result in application for full rate of class, activity, or event.

Facility Guidelines Waiver

I understand that I am responsible for knowing the Fort Nisqually Living History Museum General Facility Guidelines, as well as adhering to park rules and guidelines as defined in section 8.27 of the Tacoma Municipal Code. I also understand that as the membership holder, I am responsible for the conduct of my family and all guests who enter the museum as part of my membership.

Photography Waiver

I give my permission to have my photo or the photo of my children or child taken during classes, camps, events, or other museum activities used for publicity purposes by the Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma. I consent to the use of my name, likeness, and voice or those of my child or children without monetary compensation in connection with any Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma publicity, and expressly release the Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma and its agents from any and all claims for damages for libel, slander, invasion of the right of privacy, and any other claim arising out of any broadcast, exhibition, promotion, or advertising of the Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma.

Pass Refund and Termination Waiver

I understand that the purchase of a Fort Nisqually Living History Museum Membership is a non-refundable purchase. Fort Nisqually Living History Museum reserves the right to terminate passes for failing to adhere to state or city rules and policies, facility guidelines, or individual program expectations.
