Fort Nisqually offers a variety of year-long membership options to accommodate guests of all ages. Becoming a member of Fort Nisqually is more than just a way to support the museum - it is an opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people, and create lifelong memories!

All Fort Nisqually Members receive the following benefits:

• Complimentary admission on all general admission days.
• Complimentary admission on all of our Living History Events, including
  • Klahowya in April
  • Queen Victoria's Birthday in May
  • Family Fun Night in July
  • Harvest Home in September
• A 10% discount on most museum store items (artisan items like blacksmith guild items are excluded from discount).
• A 10% discount on all camps, classes, and heritage skills workshops.
• A 72-hour priority registration window for camps.
• A number of one-time guest passes based on your membership type.
• Advanced communication and registration for heritage skills workshops, classes, and timeslots for our Candlelight Tour.
• Time Travelers program benefits at other participating museums.

Membership FAQs:

• How long is a membership good for?
  • A membership lasts one full year. Any benefits from the membership last only as long as a membership is active, and can be renewed at any time.
• We want to explore the museum first before we consider purchasing a membership. Can we purchase admission and then put our admission purchase towards a membership?
  • Yes! But only if you purchase a membership during the same day you visit the museum. Our cashiers will work to ensure the admission you purchase can be put towards the final cost of the membership you are looking to purchase.
• Can I give a membership as a gift?
  • Yes! Memberships may be gifted only as a new purchase. Depending on the membership type purchased, you may change who is allowed on the membership, but you cannot transfer an active membership to someone not originally listed on the membership.
• Does my membership get me admission for your Signature Events?
  • No, a membership can only get you admission for general admission and Living History Event days. Members must pay regular Signature Event Pricing for our three Signature Events: Brigade Encampment, Candlelight Tour, and Christmas Regale.
• Can I refund a membership?
  • We take refund requests for memberships on a case-by-case basis.
• Why can't I purchase a membership through your ecommerce page here?
  • In order for all of your benefits to apply (such as priority registration for camps and heritage skills workshops, and their respective discounts), your account must be added in Parks Tacoma's ActiveNet system. We can process membership purchases in our Lightspeed system, but personal information that is needed for your membership would have to be transferred over to ActiveNet, and so we recommend any online membership purchases be done through the Parks Tacoma ActiveNet system.
• I have a membership and want to purchase an item through your ecommerce store. Will my membership discount be applied?
  • Unfortunately, at this time we cannot apply discounts on ecommerce orders for members. If you are interested in purchasing items from our museum store and want to receive your 10% discount, you will have to do it in-person.
